LAPS (Legal and Professional Services) Project Manager

Blue Technologies Smart Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to join our LAPS (Legal and Professional Services) team.

As a part of the LAPS Team, we will rely on you to work closely with project team members and client personnel to lead requirements gathering and subsequent analysis, execute against legal technology best practices, and leverage our methodologies to facilitate the implementation and optimization of technology tools leveraged by the firm/law department. As a LAPS Project Manager, you will be expected to work with senior and junior-level internal resources, as well as client engagement leads, to help manage the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, controlling, and monitoring of all project objectives.
  • Manage project budget and timeline expectations.
  • Leverage industry knowledge, organizational skills, and project management experience to support all aspects of projects including supporting internal resources, preparing documentation, and helping implement identified solutions.
  • Manages and directs assigned resources to best meet the project objectives.
  • Track engagement progression and work directly with customers regarding project status on a routine basis
  • Acts as the person responsible for accomplishing the project objectives within the constraints of the project. (This includes meeting deadlines and submitting change requests as needed)
  • Provide all stakeholders with clear communication about the status of the project.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with both clients and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to the Project Management Professionals (PMP) methodologies and practices.
  • Assist in drafting Project Plans and Change Request documentation.
  • Obtain documentation sign-offs.
  • Help enter, validate, adjust, approve, and post support and project tickets.
  • Conduct and run internal meetings: weekly Pit Stops and monthly meetings.
  • Produce weekly and monthly customer and internal project progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, Economics, Statistics, or Accounting
  • Experience conducting business process analysis
  • Project Management experience, including managing tasks, resources, and financials on various stages of technology implementation projects
  • Understanding of the implementation process including requirement analysis, design, migration, testing, and change management
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and MS Project
  • Strong observational, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen and leadership skills
  • Polished and professional attitude with an excellent client service mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willing to work with our Cleveland or Akron/Canton office
  • Have permanent US work authorization

Preferred Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the areas of legal technology, such as document management, E-Billing, Matter Management, Contract Lifestyle Management, and Legal Workflow Tools
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
  • Preference to candidates with experience with MS Project or similar tools
  • Good leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Package:

Pay: From $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
